| Day to Day Itenerary | |
| Day-01: | Arrive
in Kathmandu. After arriving at Katmandu airport you will be transferred to the hotel by private vehicle. Time to settle in and explore the local area of Thamel. A welcome dinner of traditional Nepalese food is provided in the evening. |
| Day-02: | Shightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and
prepare for the trek. After breakfast (included) we leave the hotel with guide to explore some of the attractions of Katmandu. Amounst the places we visit are- • Durbar Square This complex of palaces, courtyards, and temples were built during the 12th to 18th centuries used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th century stone inscription set in to the wall of the palace with writing in15 languages. The Durbar Square protected as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are three museums inside the palace building. • Swoyambhunath Stupa This is one of the most glorious Buddhist Stupa, which is the oldest shrine of Kathmandu valley. Visitors often call it “Monkey Temple”. The Stupa is formed with a solid hemisphere of bricks and clay supporting lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on four sides of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is three kilometers west of Kathmandu and located on the hilltop nearly 700 meters above the sea level of the valley. • Pashupatinath Temple One of then most sacred Hindu shrines of the world, Pashupati Nath lies 6 km east of Katmandu City center. Is famous for it’s superb architecture with its two tired golden roof and silver doors. It is a center of annual pilgrimage of Mahasivaratri. The richly ornamented pagoda houses the sacred LINGA or phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temple’s existence prior to 400 AD. Devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in the Holy Bagmati River following beside the temple, also a World heritage Site. • Bouddhanath Stupa One of the world’s largest Stupa, Boudha is generally acknowledged to be the most important Tibetan Buddhist monument outside Tibet. Tibetans simply call it CHORTEN CHEMPO "Great Stupa". It has now become the Mecca of Tibetan exiles in Nepal. Walking around Boudhnath one often fins men wearing long braids wrapped around their heads. Many of these pilgrims carry their own prayer wheels, which they spin incessantly. We return in the afternoon to pack and get organized to leave for the trekking tomorrow. |
| Day-03 : | Drive west to Pokhara (200Km. / 8 hours)
by bus to Pokhara transfer to the Hotel. (Option of 3 hours Rafting can be done on Trishuli River on the way to Pokhara) You have breakfast being of the early morning before 07:00 am - this morning you will be driving to Pokhara (200km), depart in the early morning, approximately 6 hrs away by tourist bus. Absorb a scenic route through the country lanes. You will be arriving at Pokhara in late afternoon. Pokhara Lakeside villages sits, "front row centre" to one of the most beautiful Himalayan panoramas in the world. The Annapurna and famous "Fishtail" mountain peak of Machhaouchhare tower over the tropical setting of Pokhara and you spend there will be the scenic highlight of your trip. Enjoy yourself for the trek to Poon Hill in the evening. Stay overnight in Pokhara. Breakfast, Lunch Dinner is provided |
| Day-04 : | Drive to new bridge (Naya Pul) and commence
trek to Ulleri (2073m.) - 5½ hours. After breakfast (approx at 07:30 am), and then we drive to Nayapul (42km), 1.5 hr by car via large village of Lumle and walk about 20 minutes to Birethani, a large and prosperous town. The trail follows the main street of Birethani, go through bamboo forests and pass a large waterfall and swimming hole. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Sudami where you will be served lunch. After lunch we climb steadily up the side of the valley, reaching at 1495m near by Tirekhedhunga. Along the way, various hamlets offer ample camping possibilities but Ulleri is the objective for the day. We pass Tikhe Dhuga on the way. | Day-05 : | Climb up to Ghorepani (2855m) through
the rhododendron forest - 4.30 hours. After Ulleri at 2070m. the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. There are magnificent more pleasantly through rhododendron and oak forest. The trail crosses two sparkling clear streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethani. Your lunch will be provided in Nangethanti - Thani is a Nepali words meaning "rest house" "Dharmasala".. From Nangethanti we climb to Ghorepani. Stay overnight in Ghorepani. Breakfast, Lunch Dinner is provided |
| Day-06 : | In the early morning ascent to Poonhill(3200m)
Then to Tadapani (2200m) - 5 hours. At 5:30 am wake up and start to your climb to Poon Hill (3195m) around 1hr. It provides unobstructed views and sunrise over the high Himalayas. You can see a lost of White Mountain peaks from Poon Hill. After sunrise, you will return to the lodge in time for breakfast. Ghorepani means
"horse water" and it is no doubt a welcome watering stop for
the teams of horses, mules and ponies that carry loads that carry loads
between Pokhara and Jomsom. From Ghorepani, the trail climbs south on
muddy path through the deep forests. It finally emerges on a grassy
knoil which offers good mountain views, is including views, is including
views of Machhapuchhare. (not visible from Grohrepani pass), and a panorama
all the way south to the plains of India. It is similar views from Poon
Hill. From Banthani, the trail follows the stream down to a bridge where
the trails start climbing, leaving the moist high mountain forest and
entering a field of cane, making some ups and downs past to a ventage
point "Tadapani" (2540 metres) that offers a brief view of
the mountains. Tadapani means "far water". The water supply
is a long distance; it takes porters more than half an hour to fetch
a load of water. Stay overnight in Tadapani. |
| Day-07 : | Tadadapani - Ghandruk(1950m) 5 hours We serve the breakfast in the morning and start your journey, 8:00 AM to Ghandruk, it takes approx.: 4 hours. From Tadapani, the trails descend through the forests then terraced fields, to the Khummu Khola. The Ghandrung trails descends steeply from Tadapani, through forests, a short steep descend among rocks lead to a stream crossing, then the descent continues gently past over streams, finally leading out on the ridge to Ghandruk. | Day-08 : | Ghandruk – New bridge 4.30 hours
& drive to Pokhara - 45 minutes. After breakfast the trail continues to drop to the Modi Khola (River) where we cross a suspension bridge before rising to the new bridge at Naya Pul where our transport to Pokhara and hot showers awaits. Breakfast, Lunch Dinner is provided |
| Day-09 : | Drive back to Kathmandu. Bird watching after breakfast and then you depart to Kathmandu. Arrive Katmandu approx.3 p.m. |
