Fly to Tumlingtar
from Kathmandu (550m), needful arrangement
and stay overnight in Tumlingtar. |

The trek begins as you head
up the trail to the town of Khaadbari
at 1500m. – 4 hours |

Trek along the ridge through
the town of Manebhanjyang then to Chichila
at 1900m 6 hours |

Chichila to Num 1524m, cross
the forest and a village named Mude then
we head to ward West Side of the ridge
– 6 hours |

Cross the Arun River descending
Arun valley and ascend to Sedua at 1493m-6
hours |

Ascend continuously to wards
Tashigoan called "Luck Village"
at 2057m via Ipsuwa River to the west
and Kasuwa River to the east. |

The trek will head north,
crossing many streams and through a dense
cloud forest of orchids. The trek again
head to the Makalu-Barun national Park.
In the evening Khonpma (Kongma) Danda
at 3600m is the place where trekkers will
spend their overnight – 7 hours. |

Rest day for the acclimatization

This is the most pleasant
day because of the views of Makalu, Chamlang,
Baruntse, Kanchenjunga and Jannu tower
overhead. Continuing along the ridge and
past Gongrua La, We reach Sano Pokhari,
where the reflection of the nearby peaks
is stunning and then begin climbing the
first of two passes, Tutu La and Kekela
from where there are spectacular views
of Tibet can be seen. Mumbuk at 3500m
is the main destination for this day –
7 hours. |

Mumbuk to Nehekharka at 3670m
via Barun valley – 6 hours |

The trek process ahead via
Barun canyon along a serene pasture and
after crossing the Barun River there are
many waterfalls, which cascade off the
canyon walls (if not frozen). You will
reach the point called Ripu Maidaan and
cross many tributaries to Tadosa. Again
continue to Yak Kharka with its roofed
hut, near the upper limit of the forest
at Yak Kharka at 4100m – 5 hours. |

a ridge for a view of the Barun Glacier
and Merek - Shershong
Makalu base camp at 5000m – 5 hours |
